INTRODUCING...

Hi there...I’m Crouton, and I’m not your average salad topping! I am the mixiest mix my foster mom has seen in quite a while. She says I am the most unique of the "designer" dogs! :-) I am a real love with people, and playful with other dogs. I really like to play hard with my doggy friends, so a bigger doggy friend would be a better match with me, or I would LOVE to have all of your attention, just me & you. Here are a few things that I’m working on in my foster home: house manners, sit, stay, come and my foster family is very happy to say... that I have not had any accidents inside of the house. None at all!!! They are very proud of me. My foster brothers (dogs) don’t mind hanging out with me and enjoy running around and chasing me (I am really fast). I listen most of the time if they’ve had enough playing, and if my foster Mom (or Dad) asks me to quiet down, I listen pretty well. I’m really liking this “foster” home thing, but I can’t wait to have my own “forever” home. Please check me out, if I sound like the kind of “topping” that fits into your life, just fill out the application at www.mixbreedrescue.com...and make it snappy :).

I do have allergies and am on a fish and sweet potato diet with nothing else mixed in, and so far that seems to have really helped my coat. Due to the allergies, it is required to follow up with the vet periodically to keep me in good health. I think this sometimes scares people off from adopting me. That really makes me sad. My foster Mom says, “I’m worth it”.

Crouton is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed, heartworm preventive, flea & tick preventive and micro-chipped. She is crate trained and comes when called. Your investment of $125 includes fun & games by day and snuggling & kisses by night.

July 30, 2008...Some New Experiences

Hi there friends...I just wanted to let you know what has been going on in my world since I last wrote. I have really improved on my sit and stay at the back door before going potty. My foster Mom & Dad have us all sit and stay. Then they open the door real wide and we have to stay and not move. When they say "okay", then we run out the door as fast as we can. It is kind of fun to learn new things. I am trying to learn the same with my food, but it is so hard when I can't wait to eat. I do really good with the sit, but my stay needs improvement when I'm ready to eat. We are still working hard with that.

My family had an emergency and had to leave us in boarding for 5 days. We went this morning, and I was so excited to see a lot of new friends. I will let you know about all of the fun I had when I get back. My foster Mom says that this is a great experience for me to be around many different types of dog friends.

I hope you are doing well.
